At our May meeting on May 18, 2026 we will have a guest presentation:
Swarm Prevention and Hive Splitting
Emily Mueller will discuss swarm prevention and hive splittings. This session will cover practical techniques to help beekeepers manage colony growth, reduce the risk of swarming, and maintain strong, productive hives. Participants will learn how to recognize early signs of swarming behavior, when and how to split a hive effectively, and best practices for supporting colony health throughout the process.
She has taught hundreds of beekeepers all over the world. Her focus is on educating children at local schools, educational centers and holds private home-school classes for local students.
Mueller Honey Bee Rescue has helped rescue hundreds of swarms and remove many colonies from structures and buildings.
Plan to join us live or by Zoom on Monday, May 18th at 7:00 pm. You won’t want to miss this talk.
