The Northeast Minnesota Beekeepers Association is a registered 501-c3 non-profit headquartered in Cloquet Minnesota. We manage our resources through two operating funds.The first is our General Fund which is used to support our ongoing programs of beekeeper support and education, and community outreach. These funds come from annual dues, proceeds from the sale of honey and bee packages, and community contributions.
Our second fund is the New Beekeeper Fund , also known as the 'Carol Fund'. It was first setup to track memorial donations received after the passing of one of our charter members. It is used to provide qualified new beekeepers 12-18 years old with the necessary wooden ware, supplies, safety equipment, bees and mentoring to learn to successfully tend bees. This fund is entirely dependent on community donations to continue its activities.
