As mentioned at the April meeting, we have three educational opportunities coming up this season that we would like to suggest.

The first will occur at our May 18th meeting. NEMNBA is covering the cost of this event. Our speaker for the evening will be Emily Mueller. More details can be found here.

The next event is one of two sponsored by the Minnesota Beekeepers Association. This field day will be held on June 20th in Perham. It is totally hands-on with live bees, so bring your bee suit, but not your hive tool. Click here for more details.

The MBA also hosts the third event. It will be their annual convention. This year’s meetup will be a joint effort with the North Dakota and South Dakota Beekeepers associations. It will be held on July 9-11 in Fargo, North Dakota. Admittedly, it is a bit of a drive, but the range of topics discussed and the variety of vendors present at this meeting make it a very worthwhile use of your time at a reasonable cost.
