A small group of 20 or so local beekeepers calling themselves the Northeast Minnesota Beekeepers Association began meeting in 2003.

We are primarily based out of Cloquet and Duluth MN.

Our group has grown to over 170 members and their families. We now cover a geographical area from Togo Minnesota to southern Superior Wisconsin and Two Harbors to Sandstone and beyond. We have a diverse group, in that we have members who have been beekeeping for over 23 years as well as some members who have yet to start their first hive. If you already have bees and are just looking for a group of like minded individuals then we invite you too. Some manage numerous hives and others just one or two. We very much enjoy the opportunity to share our experiences and learn from others’ experiences.

We’re always welcoming of new members and visitors alike. If you’re not sure if beekeeping is for you or if you’d just like to come and learn, feel free to sit in on a meeting. We meet the fourth Monday of the month January through December at Fond Du Lac tribal Community College – 12101 14th St – Cloquet, MN, Room 230 on the second level of the main space. Meetings start at 7 pm, doors open at 6pm for discussion, etc.
